Yes. FL Studio supports both Windows and macOS and most shortcuts are identical, with Ctrl replaced by Command and Alt replaced by Option. A few shortcuts differ: the Ctrl+Enter shortcut for showing and hiding Mixer track properties is Windows-only. On macOS, function keys require pressing fn simultaneously unless you enable "Use F1, F2, etc. as standard function keys" in System Settings.

On Mac keyboards, function keys control system features such as brightness and volume by default. To use FL Studio F-key shortcuts without holding fn, go to System Settings > Keyboard > Keyboard Shortcuts > Function Keys and enable "Use F1, F2, etc. keys as standard function keys." Alternatively, always press fn+F5 or fn+F7 when triggering these shortcuts in FL Studio on macOS.

Cmd+Space is the default shortcut for Spotlight Search on macOS, which takes priority over FL Studio. To resolve this, go to System Preferences > Spotlight > Keyboard Shortcuts and disable or reassign the Spotlight shortcut. The FL Studio documentation notes this conflict explicitly and recommends disabling Spotlight for this key combination before using FL Studio on macOS.

Start with the Transport shortcuts: Space (play/stop), R (toggle record), and L (switch Pattern/Song mode). Next, learn the Window shortcuts: F5 (Playlist), F7 (Piano Roll), and F9 (Mixer). These cover the core production workflow loop. Once comfortable, expand to Piano Roll editing shortcuts: Ctrl/Cmd+A (select all), Ctrl/Cmd+C and V (copy/paste), and Ctrl/Cmd+Q (quick quantize).
