Rocket Typist Hotkeys

On macOS, make sure both Abbreviations and Auto-Paste are enabled in the app settings, Rocket Typist is installed in Applications or Setapp, and the app has Accessibility permission so it can monitor keyboard input. You may need to restart Rocket Typist or, in stubborn cases, restart the Mac. On iPhone and iPad, install the Snippet Keyboard, enable Abbreviations, and grant the keyboard full access.

On the Mac, Rocket Typist inserts snippets anywhere an app accepts text by using the paste shortcut cmd-V. On iPhone and iPad, you need to install and use the Rocket Typist snippet keyboard from system settings.

Yes. When Auto-Paste and Abbreviation are enabled, Rocket Typist monitors keyboard input only to detect abbreviations and simulate the paste command. It does not permanently save or analyze your typing, and the last typed word is discarded as soon as a trigger fires or you continue typing.

If you disable Show app in menubar, you can still open the editor and settings by double-clicking the app icon in Finder or by clicking the app icon in the Dock.
